We are all on a journey. Everyone’s journey is different I love that, as we enter into that part of our lives that causes us to reflect upon where we are and what else we can do with our lives, we have so much more choice than before. Think about it: when we were kids, our parents told us what to do; when we were (many of us still are) employees, we had to follow their system; when we were raising kids, it was all about them and what was best for their wellbeing. And for some of us, including me, we are currently in that rewarding, albeit challenging, place of caring for an elderly parent or loved one.
There are so many stages and situations. We’ve made mistakes but we’ve also made plenty of good choices. We’ve had good and bad relationships. We may or may not be where we want to be right now but, bottom line, we’re here and here is where we begin our future. So, forget the mistakes (but remember the lessons), forgive yourself and others (holding onto that bitterness is poison), keep it moving and call on the grace of God to follow you wherever you go.
Be Blessed!
